Color Confusion

I guess my fiance' just didn't start listening until the ring landed on my finger. Because I SWEAR I said "I'd like our colors to be Plum, Sage and Chocolate," about 100 times in the past year. Maybe he was confused as to what "Plum, Sage and Chocolate" were. But my money is on that he just didn't care. Until now.

So he hates Purple. All shades. Barney Purple, Eggplant Purple, Light Purple, Burgundy so dark it looks Purple. Mulberry. Lavander. Sangria. Nope. Nope and Nope. No Purple.

So what's a girl to do? Say, "Too bad, so sad, it's Purple and I don't care what you think?" I thought about it. But, it's his wedding too.

And so off we went, Bridesmaid B and I, to Home Depot to peruse the Paint Color section. It's not just for walls, people. Those little cards can do wonders helping you realize just what colors work together (and of course, what ones don't!). Behr even offers little rings to group your favorite color cards together! It took about 1/2 an hour, but, we managed to come up with some combinations that I can present to Fiance' in the hopes that he doesn't veto EVERY color in the rainbow. (Seriously, dude, there's only so many colors in the world!)

Until we sit down and pick together though, how about a little taste of our (potential) options?

Style Me Pretty offers a wonderful Inspiration Board tool, with a vast selection of pictures that encompass many colors, styles and vibes. Wedding Wire and The Knot also offer these tools, as does Dessy (best option for coordinating Bridesmaid Dresses, but more on that later!).

Feedback is much appreciated!
